The UV lamp in your system needs to be be replaced yearly. The output of all UVC lamps naturally decreases by about 15% per year. After a year the lamp may continue to work, however it will not be as effective in killing the bugs.
Our UV lamps are mercury vapour lamps which emit Ultraviolet light at 254 nanometers. This wavelength of light is effective in deactivating over 99% of a wide range microbial organisms.
